THE GOVERNOR'S VISIT.— LONG BUSH.
. (jmOM OTJR OWN COREEaPOin>"Eirr.) At a meeting held at Long Bush on the 27th Feb., to elect a committee to carry but and prepare for receiving Si G. Grey, the following gentlemen were elected as a local committee, viz. : — Messrs D. Grey, "Win. Dawson, A. Brown, E. Hamilton, Irvin, Calvert, T. Swale, .T. Hamilton, E. Swale, A. Marshall, A. Eoss, D. Napier, D. Eeidie, A. Barclay, C. Baggatt, A. Sutherland, T. Barclay, M. M'Phee, J. M'Kay, Angus M'Kay, E. M'Kay, M. Mair. Proposed by Mr E. M'Kay, that there be a chairman and secretary of committee appointed. Proposed that Mr D. Napier be chairman of committee, and that A. Boss act as hon. secretary. Eesolved that the hon. secretary communicate with the central committee in Invereargill, to ascertain in what way we may be of assistance in carrying out the arrangements for the Governor's recep-
tion.
