On and after January Ist, 1867, the foUowing rates of postage wUI be charged on aU letters and newspapers posted in New Zealand, for deUvery within the Colony : — No. 1. Town Letters. Posted at any Post-office within the colony for deUvery at or from such Post-office : — Not exceeding \an oz. ... ... Id. Exceeding \ an oz., but not exceeding 1 oz. A. 2d. For every oz., or fraction of »n oz. over loz. .. 2d. No. 2. Country Letters. Posted at any Post-office within the colony for delivery at or from any other Post-office within the same Province : — Not exceeding J an oz 2d. Exceeding i an oz., but not exceeding loz 4d. For eve^y oz., or fraction of an oz." over 1 oz. ... 4d. No 3. Interprovincial Letters. Posted at any Post-office within the colony, for deUvery at or from any Post-office in any other Province Trithin the colony : — Not exceeding £ an oz 3d. Exceeding _- an oz., but not exceeding 10z.... 6d. For every oz. or fraction of an oz. . over 1 oz. 6d.
