The youth pf London light their cigars with a new invention, called poudre de feu. It consists of pyrophorus, which is preserved in a small tin case, with a narrow orifice. When a smaU quantity of this dark powder is poured out on the end of a cigarjand wreathed on gently, it becomes incandescent, and lights the pipe or cigar. The lnwvers supplemented their own descriptive .bility, and endeavored to convey to the bench a better idea of the appearance of the houses whose claims they were advocating, by producing photogrrphic views of the premises and the neighhorhood.
