The exports during the past month are as follows :■— To Melbourne, .£539,498; to Sydney, £241,858, showing an increase of £15,199; vSouth Australia, .£117,427, showing an increase of .£8305. The following supplements the exports to Melbourne and Geelong from November to 12th December: — Ale and beer, in bulk, 1548 barrels. Ale, in glass, 2628 bairels. Salt, 895 tons. Spirits : Brandy, 38,167 gal; geneva, 4800 "gal. ; rum, 2448ga1 ; British spirits, 14,808ga1. Tobacco and cigars, 45,0621 b. Wines: Eed, 5754ga1; white, 6356ga1. Sacks, 39,290, and .£lOl3 worth. Wodlpacks, 3000, and .£490 worth City discount, 3|. Three per cent Consols, 89f to ■■£• , and for the account \m. Hides.— The export demand is limited to public sales, which are flat. The greater part has been bought in or withdrawn, late rates not being offered. Kuin quiet but firm. The sugar market, closed for the holidays with a good demand, especially for low medium kinds ; for nearly all qualities at under 32s a further rise of from 6d to Is has been experienced. Good fine grocery sorts are scarce, and long prices are paid. The stock now is only 11,000 over last year's, and deliveries are still increasing. Victorian debentures (sixes) 104 to 105. New South Wales (fives) 90 to 92. New Zealand (sixes) 99 to 100. South Australian (sixes) 107 to 108. Queensland, 91 to 93. Bank rate of discount, 3| per cent. Consols, 89i to 90£.
