On and after January Ist, 1867, the: foUowing rates of postage wiU be charged on att letters and newspapers- posted in New Zealand, i?r deUvery within the Colony : — No. 1. Town Letters. Posted at any Post-office within the colony for deUvery at or from such Post-office : — Not exceeding £an oz. ... ... Id. Exceeding 1 an oz., but not exceeding 1 oz. ... ... ... 2d. For every oz., or fraction of sn oz. over loz. .. 2d. No. 2. Country- Letters. Posted at any Poßt-office withm the oolony for delivery at or from any other Post-office within the same Province : — ' Not exceeding \an oz ... ... 2d. Exceeding £ an oz., but not exceeding 1 oz. ... ... ... ... 4d. For every oz., or fraction of an oz. over 1 oz. ' ... ... ... 4d. No 3. Interprovincial Letters. Posted at any Post-office within the colony, for deUvery at or from any Post-office in any other fDro-riuue -rritlii-n tlio oolony : . Not exceeding £ an oz. 3d. Exceeding \ an oz.> but not exceeding loz. ... ... 6d. For every oz. or fraction of an oz. over 1 oz. ... ... ... 6d. On all Newspapers posted within the colony for deUvery within the colony, One Penny each.
