On and after January Ist, 1867, the following rates of postage wiU be charged on aU letters and newspapers posted in New Zealand, for deUvery within the Colony : — No. 1. Town Letters. Posted at any Post-office within the colony for Not exceeding i~an o-^*-*?!? 12 *--— ..- Exceeding i an oz., but not exceeding 1 oz. ... ... ... 2d. For every oz., or fraction of an oz. over 1 02. .. ... ... 2d. No. 2. Country Letters. Posted at any Post-office within the oolony for deUvery at or from any other Post-office within , the same Province : — Not exceeding kan oz ... ... 2d. Exceeding i an oz., but not exceeding 1 oz 4d. For every oz., or fraction of an oz. over 1 oz. ... ... ... 4d. No 3. Interprovincial Letters. Posted at any Post-office within the colony, for deUvery at or from any Post-office in any other Province within the colony : — Not exceeding J an oz. 3d. Exceeding % an oz., but not exceeding loz. ... ... ... - ... 6d. For every oz. or fraction of an oz. over 1 oz. ... ... ... 6d. On all Newspapers posted within the colony for deUvery within the colony, One Penny each.
