A showery, unsettled month, and the coldest November (that of 1865 alone excepted) hitherto ; recorded in nine years. • . « Several strong westerly gales occurred, especially on the 4th, sth, 13th, 20th, and 21st ; during the three latter days the force was sometimes nearly 20 lbs to the square foot. A very fine meteor was visible on the; 9th at 8.30 p.m. It moved from S. to N., and was followed by a long train of scintillated light. The mean temperature of the air was 53*0 degs., which is 42 degs.- below the average of nine years.
