Customs Revenue at the Port of Riverton, for the month of December, 1866.
Weha^e to call attention to an error which has appeared in Schedule I of the Stamp Duties, published in both local papers. "Receipt for £2 and upwards," on which a penny stamp is to be affixed, should read, " Receipt for £5 and upwards." The members of the Amateur Dramatic Club have, we learn, resolved upon deferring their next performance until the close of the series of entertainments about to be given at the Theatre Royal by Miss Juno and Mr Roberts. In thus temporarily waiving their claim to public support., the amateurs have' shown a graceful courtesy to the professionals. We are informed that the arrangements for the opening of the Theatre Kojal for a short drasnitie season have been completed, and that the first entertainment will take place as soon as the remaining members of the company who are daily expected from Dunedin shall ariive. Miss Juno •ndMr Roberts are energetically pushing for •ward the preparations for opening, and we doubt not th? the performances t« b 8 gi^ n wiU b§ of a
