IT is hereby notified that William Innes Bridges, Esq., has been appointed by the General Government to be Crown. Lands Ranger for the Province of Southland. Commissioner's Order, No. 14. /CUSTOMS.— In exercise of the power V_7 in me for this purpose vested by "The Customs Regulation Act, 1858,"" I, the Commissioner of Customs, do hereby appoint and declare that the under mentioned Port shall be a Port at which persons acting as Agents in the entrance or clearance of ships, goods, or baggage, or any business relating thereto, shall be required to be duly licensed for that purpose namely — Bluff Haebob. IT is hereby notified that the land specified below, has been reserved upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, under Clause XVI., of the " Southland Waste Land Act, 1865." Jno. P. Tatlob, Superintendent. OREPUKI TOWNSHIP RESERVE. On Run No. 393, containing 45a. Or. 28p. Bounded on the N.E., by the Waste Lands of the Crown, a distance of 1300 links. On the S.E., by the pre-emptive right on said run, 1654 links, again on the N.E., by said preemptive right 1000 links, again on the S.E., by said pre-emptive right, 3000 links, on the S.W., by the aforesaid pre-emptive right, 1150 links, and the reserved road along high water mark, and on N.W., and W., by high water mark in Tewai Bay. Richard Wm. Daniel, to be Postmaster at Wairaki, from Ist July, 1866. Superintendent's Office, Southland, Dec. 17th, 1866. IT is hereby notified that the land specified below, has been temporarily reserved under Clause XVI., of the "Southland Waste Land Act, 1865." Jno. P. Tatlob, Superintendent. SCHOOL RESERVE. Containing 5 acres in Section No. 36, Block 11., Mabel Hundred. Bounded on the N. by a line running due East, starting at a point on the road through the Mabel Bush. 1050 links south of the Bush Reserve in the aforesaid, Block II. ; on the S. by a line running due East, starting at a point on the aforesaid road, 1200 links north of the north-west corner of Section No. 10, in said Block; on the W. by the aforesaid road, and on the East by a meridian line to include the required acreage. IT is hereby notified that the portions of Ground specified as below have been temporarily reserved for the preservation and sale of the timber thereon, under XVIII of the " Southland Waste Lands Act, 1865." Jno. P. Tatlob, Superintendent. TIMBER RESERVES. In the Jacob's River Hundred, containing about 43 acres, bounded on the E. and N. by Section No. 1 . Jacob's River Hundred, and the road reserve on the west bank of the Waimatuku River, and towards the W.. and N. W. by lines being on an average about 4 chains within the edge of the bush on the west side of the Waimatuku River. In the Oreti Hundred, containing about 500 acres, bounded on the N. and W. by lines being on an average about 4 chains within the edge of the Spar Bush ; on the E. by Block No. 1, Oreti Hundred, and on the South by the road dividing the aforesaid Hundred from the New River Hundred.
