RE GULATIONS REFERRED TO IN THE FOREG-OING- PROCLAMATION.
1. Any person who is desirous of di iving or removing or of causing to be driven or removed any Cattle from or out of the Infected District above described in' ;o the Province of Southland shall first ob tain after inspection a certificate from the Inspector or one of the Inspectors of the said Infected District in the form of the Schedule hereto annexed or to the eflect thereof which certificate shall be sniSieient authority to drive or remove such. Cattle from out of such Infected Dis'crict and into the Province of Southland, but such Cattle must be put across the river Mataura at the following placesi only —viz, the Long Ford; the Tutura Ferry; the Pyramid Ford; and Menzie's Ferry. 2. Any person having crossed Cattle after having complied with the provisions of the foregoing Begulation shall before driving or removing such Cattle from the immediate neighborhood of such crossing place, first obtain after inspection a Certificate from one of the Cattle Inspectors for the Province, likewise in the form of the Schedule hereto annexed, or to the effect thereof which Certificate shall be a sufficient authority to drive or remove such Cattle from such crossing place on the Mataura Biver to any part of the Province of Southland. The Inspector, provided he is not a salaried Government Oflicer, shall be entitled to fees at the rate of Two Pounds per diem during the time he may be employed, and every Inspector shall be entitled to travelling expenses at the rate of one shilling and sixpence per mile one way, for granting certificates for the removal of such cattle out of his district, which fees shall be paid before inspection by the person applying for such examination and certificate as aforesaid.
