The Directors have to report that after another successful half-year's operations, the net profits as at 30th September, after providing for all dependencies supposed to be either bad or doubtful, and making a liberal replacement on Bank Premises and Furniture Accounts, amount to £53,307 Os od; to which has to be added—Balance of Profit undivided at 31st March, £2760 1b 4d; leaving available for division, £56,067 1 4d, which the Directors recommend to be appropriated to payment of dividend at the rate of 10 per cent, per annum, £25,000 ; Bonus of 73 per share, equal to 7 per cent, per j annum, £17,500 ; addition to reserre fond, which is now at its maximum of £15,000, £7000; balance to profit and loss new account, £6567 1§ 9d : total, £56,067 Is 9d. The dividend and bonus will be payable at head office to-morrow, the Ist November, and at the branches on receipt of advice. It devolves upon the shareholders now to elect two directors to fill vacancies. Messrs W. C. Wilson and Thomas Russell have given the required notice, and are eligible for election.
