John Parkin Taylor, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Southland. ~|"N pursuance and exercise of the power B in me vested in this behalf, Ido hereby constitute and appoint to be a goldfield, under the provisions of the " Goldfields Act, 1866," under the name of the Bushy Point Goldfield, all that territory along the coast live of the Province of Southland, comprised within the area bounded on the west by eastern boundary of certain claims or grants at Te Wais Point, under the " Native Claims Settlement Act"; on the east by the Mataura Eiver; on the south by low water mark ; on the north by a line running parallel to high water mark, at the distance of (40) forty chains ; and I declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation and take effect on the day of the date hereof. The native Eeserve at Kolac's Bay, bounded on the north east by a line (starting from a marked peg on the beach) bearing 308.12 on the true meridiam, a distance of 72 chains 40 links ; on the north west by a line, bearing 218.21 on the true meridian to high water mark, and on the south west and east by the high water mark of the ocean in Foveaux Straits.
