; MONDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1866. ; The Speaker took the chair at eleven o'clock. The report of the Conference on the ' Goldfield Members Bill was agreed to. THE LIBRARY. Mr JOHN WILLIAMSON said that on a previous day the Colonial Secretary han charged Mr "Wynn with borrowing books from the library and not returning ■ them. The fact was that Mr "Wynn had borrowed three or four books on account of Judge Arney, and to conduct a case in the Supreme Court, and 'they would be returned by Mr Wynn as soon as he could lay hands on them ; at any rate, if he could not find them, he intended to replace them. Mr "Wynn had also borrowed Sheridan's work?, but the book had become damaged, and he intended to give ' back another cx>py which he had sent for j from England. j The House then adjourned till five j minutes to two o'clock. At that hour the House again resumsd, and in answer to a question, Mr STAFFORD said that in future no allowance for wine money would be given to members travelling to and from the place of meeting of Parliament. At a few minutes past two o'clock the Private Secretary of his Excellency the Governor entered with a message from his Excellency, summoning the House to attend him in the Legislative Council. j The House accordingly proceeded there.
