TN Pursuance of tb.B" provisions ot an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Regulations of Elections Act, 1858," I, Duncan M'Arthur, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waikivi, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the Sixth Day of O-jtober, 1866, issued ujjder the hand of his Honor the Superintendent of Southland, an Election will be held for the Return of one qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council, for said Electoral District ; and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the house of Duncan M'Abthub, Waikivi, on Monday, the Twenty-second Day of October, 1866, at Noon; and that the Poll (if necessary), will be taken on Tuesday, the Twenty-third Day of October, 1866.
