TN Pursuance of the provisions ot an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Regulations of Elections Act, 1858," I, Duncan M'Arthur, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waikivi, do hereby give^ notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the Sixth Day of Oitober, 1866, issued under the hand of his Honor the Superintendent of Southland, an Election will be held for the Return of one qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council, for said Electoral District; and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the house of Dttncan M -Arthttb, Waikivi, on Monday, the Twenty-second Day of October, 1866, at Noon ; and that the Poll (if necessary), will be taken on Tuesday, the Twenty-third Day of October, 1866.
