T-e Short Title of this Act shall be th. Wine, in bottle, containing less than twenty-five per cent of alcohol of a specific gravity of 825 at the temperature of 90 degrees Fahrenheit's thermometer — the gallon .. 0 5 0 14. Anchors and chains and rod, bolt, bar, and sheet, hoop and pig iron ; and nails, sailcloth, cordage' twine, cot on, yarn, bags, sticks, and woolpacks, spirits of tar and turpentine, tobacco for sheepwa>h, nuts af all kinds, powder only fit for blasting purposes, and all unenumerated goods, wares, and merchandise Free. IV. A drawback of the whole of su h duties shall br allowed or wines intended for tin- consumption of. the officers of Her Majesty's troops in the Colony of New Ze land and of the officers of Her Majesty's navy serving on board any of Her Majesu'- ships in the seas adjoining thereto, or such wines may he landed on first importation, or delivered tut of bond of iree duty, subject in all cases to such regulations as the Governor shall fr in lime to t, me pr. scribe. Pro>i lei always, that if any such wines shall be subsequently sold in tlie said colony except for the use or consumption of any of Her Majesty's military or naval officers as aforesaid, the same shall be forfeited and liable to s< izure a- cordingly. V. All duties of Customs under this Act shall be charged and paid according to the standard imperial weights and measures, nnd where such duties are charged according to ony specific quantity, we ghtor size, the same shall be chargeable rateably on any greater or less quantity, weight or size. VI. The duties of the Customs imposed by this Act shall be raised, levied, and paid unJer the provisions of '• The Customs Iteration Act, 1858." an subject also to all such provisions ami refiuU l.ns as may for the time being b • in foic for t»ie collection, management, and receipt ol the duties of impt-rt iv the Colony of New Zealand. VIT. The "Customs Duties Amendment Act, 1861," and the Military supplies Customs Act. 18H2," sholi apply to all* duties of Customs pay able under this Act. Vlll. In the event of any increase under this Act in the duties of Cust ms chargeable upon any goods, wares, or merchandise, after ihe making tf any contract or agreement for the sale ior delivery of such goods uuty free, it shall be lawful for the seller, in case- such increase shad accrue before th> c.earance »-nd delivery from ihe warehouse of >wh goods at >u -h increased uuiy and after poyment thereof to add so much moncd to the contract price iis will be equivalent to such increase of duty, and he shall be entitled to be paid and to sue ior and r. covtr ihe same..
