BOATMAN.

(TO THE EDITOR OP THE SJUrHLIXD Tfs£E3.) Sir, — I see in your paper a letter signed " Boatman." Perhaps he would like to take a row in a calm stream, rudder down ; all along the Puni creek. Me would then show hia mainsail, and his bunting would fly away. His colors would have to be shown. It would be seen he was up to " tallow fat boiled lown " better than managing the helm. If he was dressed all out with wool for a head piece, and squatter-lined in his hat everyone wou.d know the " Boatman." — Tours truly, Fuifjrr MVn\ Invercargill, 31st August. [( )ur correspondent we think sees fun where we cannot. However; everyone to his taste.]— Ed. S.T. «.
