Miscellaneous. I\'EW AjSD MOST VALUABLE MEDICINES OF f\ RIMAULT & CO., Chemists to H.I.H. Prince IT Napoleon, in Paris, For hitherto intractable and incurable diseases. No moee Cod Liver Oil. GRIMAULT'S SYRUP OF IODIZED HORSERADISH, Prepared by Grimault & Co., Chemists of Paris according to the certificates of the physicians of the Paris hospitals, detailed in the printed directions, and with the approbation of several academies, this Syrup is employed with the greatest success in place of Cod Liver Oil, to which it is infinitely superior. It cures diseases of the chest, scrofula, lymphatic disorders, green sickness, muscular atony, and loss of appetite. It regenerates the constitution by purifying the blood, and is in a word the most powerful depurative known. It never fatigues the stomach and bowels, like lodide of Potassium and the lodide of Iron, and is administered with the greatest efficacy to young children subject to humours or obstruction of the glands. Dr. Cazenave of Saint Louis Hospital, Paris, recommends it particularly in diseases of the skin, to be taken with his Pills mentioned above. This Syrup of lodised Horseradish is a capital adjunct to Dr. Leras' Phosphate of Iron. No MORE CONSUMPTION. GRIMAULT'S SYRUP OF HYPOI PHOSPHATE OF LIME. This new Medicine is a sovereign remedy in phthisis and other diseases of the lungs, promptly removes all the more serious symptoms. The cough is relieved the night- sweats cease, and the patient rapidly recovers his health. No moee'Dyspepsy, Vomiting during Pregnancy and Sea-sickness. GRIMAULT AND CO.' DIGESTIVE ELIXIR OF PEPSINE. ; Pepsine is the gastric juice itself; or rather the active principle purified, which digests food in the stomach. When, from various causes, the supply of the digestive fluid is too small, the inevitable consequences are, bad digestion, inflammation of the mucous coats of the stomach and bowels, and in females general derangement. The Elixir o Pepsine, sanctioiied by the Paris Academy of Medicine, speedily cures all such diseases, and prevents vomiting during pregnancy and while out sea-voyaging. No more Poverty oe the Blood and Pale Complexion. DRS. LERAS' PHOSPBA.TE OF IRON. This new ferruginous medicine contains the elements of the blood and bones, and Iron in a liquid state. It is different from all hitherto offered to the public, is liquid, colourless and tasteless. It speedily cures chlorosis, pains in the stomach, difficult digestion, dysmenorrhcea, anemia, and advantageously supersedes Carbonate of Iron, Iron reduced by My&royen, Lactate of Iron the Pills of Potassic-tartrate of Iron, and lodide of Iron. The majority of the Academies of Medicine of Paris, recommend the Phosphate of Iron, to Ladies of delicate constitution suffering from anemia, and all other persons fatigued from over anxiety, nervous emotions, overwork, general debility and poorness of blood. It is only preparation which never causes constipation, and can be borne by the most delicate stomachs. It is the best adjunct to the Syrup of lodized Horse-radish and Royal Elixir of Yellow Peruvian Bark. No more Copaiba and Cubebs. GRIMAULT'S CAPSULES AND LIQUID EXTRACT OF MATICO VEGETALIS. Where all other Medicines have failed, these preparations will always effect a .cure. These insure rapid and extraordinary cure of severe recent and chronic cases of private disease. They are used in the Hosp itals of Paris, by the celebrated Dr. Eicord, and are found greatly superior to all hitherto known mineral remedies and Copaiba and Cubebs. If his wile or children be troubled with eruptions of the skin, sores, tumours, white swellings, sore throats, asthma, or or any other similar ailment, a persevering use oi this Ointment is all that is necessary to produce a radical cure. SKIN DISEASES, HOWEVEE DESPEEATE, MAY BB EADICAIiLY CURED. Scald-heads, itch, blotches on the skin, scrofulous sores, or king's evil, and such like afflictions, yield to the mighty power of this fine Ointment, provided it be well rubbed into the affected parts two or three times a day, and the Pills be taken to purify the blood. DROPSIES. This miraculous Ointment, if well worked into the complaining parts twice a day, will penetrate to the disordered vessels ; and the Pills, if taken according to the printed directions, will produce the most pleasing and wonderful effects.^ This invaluable Ointment will cure any ulcer or sore, however desperate and long standing, even where amputation has been recommended as the only means of saving the limb. DROPSICAL SWELLINGS, PARALYSIS AND STIFF JOINTS. Although, the above complaints differ widely in their origin and nature, yet they all require local treatment. Many of the worst cases of such diseases will yield, in a comparatively short space of time, when this Ointment is diligently rubbed into the parts affected, even when every other means have failed. In all serious maladies, the Pills should be taken according to the printed directions accompanying each box. DROPSY. Hundreds are cured yearly by the use of these Pills, conjointly with the Ointment, which should be rubbed very bountifully into the parts affected. SCURVY, SCEOFULA, ERYSIPELAS. How does this Ointment expel disease ? By arresting all undue action of the nervous and circulatory systems, by lessening inflammation, ' and by removing stagnation ; but, above all, by casting out the impurities which are daily gaining admission into the body. By this means it eradicates scurvy, scrofula, erysipelas, and all external diseases j while its penetrating powers enable it to reach diseases which are deeper seated, and successfully to cope with the seeds of tumours, cancers, and similarly malignant « maladies, which only a few years since defied every treatment, and hurried their victims prematurely to the grave. BOTH THE OINTMENT AND PILLS SHOULD BE USED IN THE FOLLOWING CASES : — Bad Legs, Bad Breasts, Burns, Bunions, Bite of Mosquitoes and Sandflies, Coco-bay, Chiegofoot, Chilblains, Chapped Hands, Corns (Soft), Cancers, Contracted and Stiff Joints, Elephantiasis, Fistulas, Gout, Glandular Swellings, Lumbago, Piles, Rheumatism, Scalds, Sore Nipples, Sore Throats, ScurvyySore Heads, Tumours, Ulcere, Wbundß, Yaws. *#* : There is a considerable saving by taking the larger sizes.
