Arrived— SandHish, (?) from Melbourne; Albatross, from Chatham Island, bringing the captatn and crew of the Wild Wave, that was wrecked there; the Lindsay, from Korway, via Lyttelton, with 530,000 feet timber, which will be offered for sale by auction next week ; the Carmilla expected to sail for Invercargill early tomorrow morning. Sun Francisco news has arrived to the 27th April. There was a terrible explosion on the 16th of that, month, at the
stores of IniU-o - Giycerene Company; fifteen were killed, five dangerously and thirty badly wounded, and the damage to the surrounding property is immense. By the arrival of the Euclyphus, from Hobart Town, we have Melbourne papers to the 25 th June ; Beaney's trial expected to finish on the 29th June. Little change in the markets : Geneva, V. H. and Co.^lls 6d ; JDKZ., 12s Gd ; Barkclay's porter, 10s 6d ; Byass's, 9s 6d, in bond : currants in demand at sd, in bond. Breadstuff's, heavy : Adelaide, £17 10s. The news from Sydney is up to the 23rd June. The Euahine sailed for Europe and America via Panama on the 14th. There will be no steamer in August ; afterwards on the Ist of every month. News from Adelaide to the 23rd June Wheat, 7s ; flour, £15 10s. The " King of Trumps " has put into Hobart Town, greatly damaged in a cyclone. Expected to sail for New Zealand at the end of July. The passengers have come on by the Eculyphus. Dtwedin, 10th June. Arrived — Alhambra, from Melbourne via the Bluff. Smith, Coroner at the Clutha, has been fined £5 for horsewhipping Tescheinaker, ex-Squatter, in the public street.
