DvyEDis, 12th June. The Taranald has sailed for the Bluff, and the Airedale sails to-morrow. Frederick Walker, M.P.C., late Provincial Secretary, died suddenly on the 10th inst. New insolvent. — Perkins, draper, liabilities, £4500 ; assets, £2000. Great action, Lees v. Trewick, pending in the Supreme Court; claim for false imprisonment arising out of a charge of cattl© stealing at Tuapeka, in September last, when the case was dismissed; damages laid at £5500. Trial has already occupied two days, and not likely to be finished to-night. Stormy, strong S.W. gale blowing.
