Ciiristchurch, 6tli June. Arrived — Eangatira and G-eelong from Dunedin ; Jupiter, from Nelson ; Storm Bird, schooner, from Stewart's Island. Pears are entertained for the safety of George Hobson, engineer, West Coast, who has been lost in the bush for several days. An active search is being made. 7th June. Arrived — Phoebe, from Dunedin ; sailed, North. Hotitika. — Arrived — Eangitoto, from Melbourne, outside, surf heavy. Nothing has been ascertained as to the fate of Dobson. Search going on. Telegraph wires on the Grey line were expected to be completed in ten days.
