Hay, £5 10s per ton ; chaff, £7 10s ; bran, none ; ba-.on and hams, scarce, the price for best colonial being Is 6d per 1b ; no English in the market; cheese, English, la9d; colonial, lg 6d per lb. Wines and spirits are firmer ; best brands o . brandy has slightly advanced ; Martels, 9s, bond . bottled porter is very scarce, and worth 14s 6d. Groceries and oiLmen's stores meet with a fair demand at paying prices. Ecrosene and candles not so much in demand. Cartage to the Lake, £14 per ton.
