RIVERTON CUSTOMS RETURNS
Loss of the Schooner Yarra. — On Monday nighty at 12 p.m., this vessel commanded by Captain M'Cullum, bound from Dunedin to Waikara, was totally lost, having stranded on the Ninety Mile Beach, two miles west of Waikara Lake. There wereTpn - board a crew of five persons and four passengers, all of whom were saved. The mate and one of the passengers -- were slightly injured. The ship, which was in ; ballast, was dismasted on Wednesday, April 18. On the previous Sunday, the Yarra came into collisiqn with the barque Eucalyptus, in Molyneux Bay, losing bowsprit and sustaining other jdanaages. — Lyttelton Times*
