Letters addressed to Kongkong, Penang, Singapore, and any part of China, or Japan, the PMI--lipin islands, Java, Sumatra, Borneo, Labuan, the Moluccas, and Siam, are chargeable as follows : — . And so on,, increasing two shillings for every additional ounce or fraction of an ounce. 8. — To Naval Oeficebs on Fobeign Stations Letters addressed to Officers serving on board any of Her Majesty's ships on a foreign station, % when sent through the United States, are chargeable as follows : — Not exceeding § oz Is. Exceeding fc oz., and not exceeding 1 oz. 2s. 1 oz. „ 2 oz. 4s. And so on, increasing two shillings for every ad- • ditional ounce or fraction of an ounce. 9. — To Naval Seamen and Soldiebs. Letters sent to or by Seamen and Soldiers Her Majesty's Service will be transmitted within the colony, and between the colony and any postoffice in the British dominions, at a charge of ONE pennt, provided that the following regulations are observed : — 1. Each letter must not exceed half an in weight. 2. It must be superscribed with the name the writer, his description or class in the vessel'Or regiment, and signed by the officer at the time in command. 3. The postfigemust bo prepaid. Every letter of this description posted or received in thii olony, not vi accordance with the foregoing regulations, will be ueeated as an .ordinary letter. The postage upon these letters must iv all cases be paid* in advance. v~si, Lettebs. Lettc s on the public s rvice of Her Majesty' naval and military forcee ar<* er^mpted from the payment of postage, if bearing -he words •' Oa Her Majestr'p Service," and the signature of the officer in command of the force on llie service of which, the letter is despatched. Letters on the public service of the General Government of the Colony are transmitted free by poet, if bearing the. words "On the public service only," and the signature of some officer of the General Government authorised to frank letters. - 11. — Registered Lettebs.
