CANTERBURY.
Christchuech, 23rd April. The Eavorite has arrived from Hokitika, and the G-eelong from the South. The Lord Ashley has sailed North, and the RangitiraSouth. The Star of the Evening, from Melbourne, 13th inst., arrived at Hokitika yesterday, and reports the steward, second steward, and stewardess, of the Barwon, have been arrested, charged with stealing a box of gold. The Wm. Miskin had sailed for the Bluff. The Hau-hau (?) diggings were extending, and had an important rush, two men 150 ozs. 24th April, Arrived— Celt, from Wellington; Tyne, from Sydney ; Otago, from Sydney. Sailed — Favorite and Gfeelong, for Dunediu.
