London, 26th Feb. The bank rate of discount is lowered from eight to seven per cent. It is expected this week or next to go down to six. Trade is checked by a seven week's rate of eight per cent. Several railway contractors have failed. The Bank of France has reduced the rate from four and a half to four. The Bank of Prussia is down from six and a half to six. The English funds are dull. Consols, 87i to 87f for delivery, and 87-|- t0.87f for account. Colonial Government Securities. — New South Wales Fivea, 1866, January and July, no quotation ; do, 1871 to 1876, to 94. "Victoria Sixes, April and October, 106£ to 107 f, South Australian do, 1878 and upwards, 104 to 106. Queensland do, January and July, 98 to 100.
