Again I have to notice an excessive faU of rain. Last Thursday there was not a moment's cessation of the deluge for 27 hours ; 1.155 inch was recorded. I have already registered over 14 inches during the two months and a half of the present, year. On the night of the previous Thursday, a terrific gale was experienced from the Northward Veering to N.W. and W.N.W. The depression of the barometer was very shght.
