And so on, increasing two shillings for every additional ounce or fraction of an ounce. 8. — To Naval Opeicebs on Foreign Stations Letters addressed to Officers serving on board any of Her Majesty's ships on a foreign station, when sent through tie United States, are chargeable as foUows : — Not exceeding £ oz ls. Exceeding £ oz., and not exceeding 1 oz. 2s. „ loz. „ 2 oz. 4s. And so on, increasing two shillings for every additional ounce or fraction of an ounce. 9. — To Naval Seamen and Soldiers. Letters sent to or by Seamen and Soldiers _ Her Majesty's Service wfll be transmitted within the colony, and between the colony and any postoffice in the British dominions, at a charge of one penny, provided that the foUowing regulations are observed : — 1. Each letter must not exceed half an in weight. 2. It must be superscribed with the name the writer, his description or class in the vessel or regiment, and signed by the officer at the time in command. 3. The postage must he prepaid. Every letter of this description posted or received ia. tbia colony, not in accordance with the foregoing regulations, wfll be treated as an ordinary letter. The postage upon these letters must iv all cases be paid in advance. Fbee Lettebs. Letters on the public service of Her Majesty' naval and mflitary forces are exempted from the payment of postage, if bearing the words "On Her Majesty's Service," and the signature of the officer in command ofthe force on the service of which the letter is despatched.
