THE BLIND BOY TO HIS SISTER.
Sister dear the sun so bright Is hidden from my view, The birds, the flowers, the light, I cannot see 'tis true. But then I feel the sun's warm rays, I smell the fragrant flowers, I hear the birds pour forth their lays Amidst the leafy bowers. To murmur would be very wrong, For though 1 cannot see, I can pour forth a grateful song And humbly bow the knee ; To Q-od who though he sees it fit To take away my sight, Hath given me all good things but it, And shown bis power and might. * Elza WriiSON.
