February 22.— Pilot, cutter, 20 tons, Robson, for Dunedin. ~ February 23.— P.N.Z. and A.R.M. Co.'s s.s. Claud Hamilton, 800 tons, Gordon Ponsonby, for Hokitika, with passengers. T. G. Tanton, agent. IMPORTS. Per Claud Hamilton, from Dunedin— l truss, 1 package, Tanton; 1 cask ale, Longuet ; 1 box, Brodriek ; 5 horses, 1 buggy, Lockyer ; 1 pckg., livesey ; and the cargo transhipped from the s.s. Otago from Melbourne. PASSENGER LIST. February 53.— Per Claud Hamilton, from Otago and Northern Ports— Cabin : Messrs. Boss, Boyd, Lockyer ; and five in the steerage. EXPECTED ARRIVALS — PEOM Hokitika, leaving same day for Hokitika—Rangitoto, on 27th inst. Northern Ports— "Wellington on 28th inst., leaving for Dunedin and Northern Ports on 2nd Much. Sydney and Northern Ports, leaving same day for Melbourne — Tararua, on 28th inst. Glasgow direct — Ship Maria ; sailed 16th Nov.

By-the-bye, there is an action pending, Hepburn v. Turnbull, for speaking in a hurry as tt« the course he (Captain Hepburn) took respecting the Star of the South. The Ballarat is again afloat. She has left for Okarita, and will, I think, divide the trade to that port with the Bruce. The, Maria is getting ready for sea, and will leave shortly for Melbourne."
