THE NEW TARIFF.
An Act to alteb the Dutee3 of Customs, December 9, 1864. Whereas it is expedient to alter the duties of Customs, payable on the importation of goods wares and merchandise into the Colony of New Zealand: Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of Hew Zealand in Parliament assembled as follows : I. The short title of this Act shall be "The New Customs' Duties Act, 1864." 11. The Duties of Customs chargeable upon goods, wares, and merchandise imported into the Colony of New Zealand shall cease and determine from and after the Bth day of December 1864. 111. From and after the eighth day of Deeember, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixtyfour in lieu of such duties the following duties of Customs shall be charged on all goods, wares, and merchandise hereinafter specified, imported into the Colony of New Zealand or cleared from any warehouse for home consumption, that it is to say: —
