NEW ZEALAND GENERAL TELEGRAPHIC AGENCY, The position -which Campbelltown (Bluff Harbor) occupies as the first port of arrival and last of departure for the steamers carrying Her Majesty's English and Australian Mails, as -well as its growing importance as a port of call for sailing vessels of large tonnage, and the fact that it is the southern terminus of the New Zealand Telegraph System, and of the Railways already initiated in Southland, which eventually will traverse the whole of the Middle Island, has induced us to establish at this point a GENERAL TELEGRAPH AGENCY. The objects we have in view are threefold : — Firstly. — Receiving and transacting all Mercantile Business in which the telegraphic wire may be called into requisition. Secondly. — Supplying the Press throughout New Zealand with the latest English and Australasian Intelligence, including the state of Markets, Shipping, and General News from all parts of the Colonies. Thirdly — Transacting Telegraphic Business of a miscellaneous character for the public at large. The marked success which has attended like andertakings, both in Europe and the Colonies when conducted with energy and intelligence, and the long experience of the projectors in mercantile business, and their thorough knowledge of thb duties of a Press Correspondent, combined with a determination to devote their whole attention to the Agency, emboldens them to solicit public patronage. A wide-spread system of Telegraphic Agencies has been formed throughout the whole of the Australian Colonies, in connection with the "NEW ZEALAND GENERAL TELEGRAPHIC AGENCY." The strictest secrecy, together with promptitude and accuracy in all affairs entrusted to us, may be relied on. Head OrriCES:— CAMPBELLTOWN, Southland, N.Z, The following are the principal Agencies: — Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Launceston, Galle, Suez Alexandria, Malta, Marseilles Paris; and London. FITZGERALD & CO. HOOD AND CO.'S SOLUBLE SHEEP DIPPING COMPOSITION. This preparation, which is well known in Great Britain as a certain CUBE for all Skin Diseases of Sheep, is already proved to be the best and cheapest remedy for SCAB yet offered in these Colonies. It does not stain or injure the Wool, like most other remedies. It increases the growth and weight, and improves the quality of the fleece. Sheep can be cured by this preparation for One Penny per head. Full particulars may be obtained from " Hood's Monthly Manual," which may be obtained from, or will be posted regularly, free of expense, on application to the undersigned. Since January, 1864, more than one hundred tons have left the manufactory in Melbourne — a quantity sufficient to dip, once, upwards of four millions of sheep. The proprietors commend this fact to the consideration of the flockowners of New Zealand. Testimonials from some of the leading flockowners in Victoria, Tasmania, and New Zealand, can^be seen on application to SURMAN &. CRERAR. Agents for Southland. Stock.
