Huugaey has hitherto had no literary journal of its own. We thereto welcome cordially five numbers received of Uj Kqrszak (the New Era), which commenced in July last. Amongst the contributors is the celebrated traveller, Hermann Vambery. The editor, Count Koloman Lazar, is well known as an ornithologist, and the proprietor Julius Schwarz, as a geologist. Other contributors, ail men of considerable literary standing, are MM. Franz Toldy, Lutter, Eonay, Vadnay, Jlenselmann, &c. Amongst German contributors and correspondents is A. JBrehm, who furnishes a paper on the seasons of inner Africa. An English lady, Mibs Selma Gaye, gives a 6ketch of English lite in a country town ; and Mr. .Blake discourses upon anthropology. The paper is printed on a double sheet in r »yal quarto, and iv texture and typography leaves nothing to be desired.
