RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before H. M'Culloch, Esq., R.M.) Mojtoax, Bth Janttaby. W. H. Colder pleaded guilty to an information laid against him by the Inspector of sheep, for having the charge of 900 sheep infected -with scab. Fined Is per head, with costs 5s 6d. G-eorge Walker was committed for safe custody as a dangerous lunatic. Eichard Richmond was complained against by Joseph Matthews for threatening to knock his brains out, and other little attentions, and was j ordered to find one surety in £5, and be bound himself in £10 to keep the peace for six months, in default one month's imprisonment. The bail not being forthcoming, the defendant was removed in custody. Miles Belton was brought up by the gaoler, who applied for his discharge. Dr. Monckton having given evidence that the prisoner, who has for some time been in custody as a dangerous lunatic, was convalescent, he was ordered to be discharged.
