JOHN MTJNEO, T)OOKSELLER AND COMMERCIAL STATIONER, DEE-STREET, INVERCARGILL. Telegraphic Agency. NEW ZEALAND GENERAL TELEGRAPHIC AGENCY. The position which CampbeUtown (Bluff Harbor) occupies as the first port of arrival and last of departure for the steamers carrying Her Majesty's English and Australian Mails, as weU as its growing importance as a port of caU for sailing vessels of large tonnage, and the fact that it is fche southern terminus of fche New Zealand Telegraph System, and of the Railways already initiated in Southland, which eventuaUy wfll traverse the whole of the Middle Island, has induced us to establish at this point a GENERAL TELEGRAPH AGENCY. The objects we have in view are threefold :— Firstly. — Receiving and transacting all Mercantile Business in which the telegraphic wire may be caUed into requisition. Secondly. — Supplying the Press throughout New Zealand wifch the latest English and • Australasian Intelligence, including the state of Markets, Shipping, and General News from aU parts ofthe Colonies. Thirdly — Transacting Telegraphic Business of a miscellaneous character for the pubhc at large. The marked success which has attended like andertakings, both in Europe and the Colonies when conducted wifch energy and intelligence, and the long experience of the projectors in mercantile business, and their thorough knowledge of the duties of a Press Correspondent, combined wifch a determination to devote their whole attention to the Agency, emboldens them to solicit public patronage. A wide-spread system of Telegraphic Agencies has been formed throughout the whole of the Australian Colonies, in connection with the "NEW ZEALAND GENERAL TELEGRAPHIC AGENCY." The strictest secrecy, together with promptitude and accuracy in aU affairs entrusted to ns, may be relied on.
