Government Gazette last night, amending, as follows, the description of the boundaries of the Quarantine Station at Point Ifepean, and the limits of the quarantine anchorage of the port oi" Melbourne :— " The Quarantine Station.— The Quarantine Station at Point Nej^ean. shall .be. that portion of the county of ZUTorjilngton,- - in tKe colony o£ "Victoria, commencing ab the flagstaff On Observatory Point, about one mile and a half east of Point 27epean, which flagstaff bears from the high lighthouse at Shortland's Bluff south thirty degrees east, and bounded on the north by the shores of Port Philip Bay eastward to -a flagstaff bearing frOni the said lighthouse south forty-five degrees east, on the east by a line south by Bass's Straits westerly, and on the we3t by a line bearing north to the conimencing-point. " Quarantine Anchorage. — The Quarantine Anchorage of Port Philip'shall be that portion of the harbor commencing/at a point three-quarters of a mile distant from Observatory Point, and bearing north, -from it; thence extending in an easterly direction afc the same distance from, and parallel to the line of coast leading to Point Sing, to a point bearing north three-quarters of a mile from a flagstaff erected midway between Point King and Observatory Point. The magnetic bearings of the' extreme points' of the Quarantine Station at Point If epean are as follows, namely : — The flagstaff on- Observatory Point, marking the western end of the Quarantine Station, bear 3 south 85tleg. east from the flagstaff on Point Lonsdale, and south 30deg. east from the high lighthouse. ; The flagstaff on Ticondcroga Point, which marks the eastern end of the Quarantine Station, bears from the high lighthouse south 45deg. east."
