ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
♦ WE DO NOT IDENTIFY OURSELVES IN ANY "WAY "WITH TEE OPINIONS EXPRESSED BX OUR CORRESPONDENTS. ELECTORAL OBJECTIONS. (to the editor of the southland times.) Sir, — In this morning's issue of the News appears an article regarding myself and the electoral objections. The editor of that paper wouM have it appear that the making of these objections was an attempt to disfranchise the applicants, and so nullify the effect of the Representation Ordinance. This is simply nonsense. If the objections were bad, no applicant could suffer by them. If good, then the applicant had no right to make the application. Does tho editor of the News think that every one who chooses to put in an application should be put on the roll whether his qualification be sudicient or no? Any one may make the objections. — Yours, etc., W. STUART. Waikivi, Nov. 8, 1864.
