The news from this Province is very satisfactory, and a glimmering of peaceful settlement is once more perceptible. Col. Warre, at the head of a force of 350 men of the 70th, has made extensive marches into the surrounding country, and the result is that all is safe between Taranaki and Te Arei (which has been re- occupied by the troops) and also to the southward, to Tatairamaka and Mangorei.
