The s.s. Alhainbra left Hobson's Bay on the 13th, two hour 3 after the arrival of the mail. Captain M'Lean reports southerly winds the first two days of the passage, and afterwards southeast winds. Arrived at the Bluff at 1 a.m, this morning (Wednesday.) The s.s. Aldinga left Port Chalmers at 5 p.m. on the 10th. Experienced soufcH-easfc winds, ■with , thick weather, and an-ived at the Bluff at 8 a.m., \ and sailed again for Melbourne this morning ' (Wednesday.) , The favorite steamer William Miskin, is now ! beached at Pelichet Bay, for a thorough overhaul. Most of her internal fittings have been taken out of her, and now she is little better than a great iron tank. We believe it is the intention of her proprietor to spare no expense in so refitting her as to make her more attractive than she has ever been as a coasting steamer. It is expected she •will be ready for sea in the course of a fortnight. — Otago Mail.
