THE NEW ZEALAND EXHIBITION.

"With every out-going mail we hare now the satisfaction of recording that the prospects of the forthcoming New Zealand Exhibition, to be held at Diinedin, Qtago, in January of next year, are brightening more and more. All apprehension as to failure (which was on the first initiation of the movement considered neither impossible nor improbable) has been long ago thrown overboard, and the arrangements for a successful exposition of the resources and manufactures of the entire colony of New Zealand are now being taken up in a business-like and methodical manner, which cannot longer leave any room for doubting the issue of the enterprise. Prom all the provinces we hear of the local committees entering con amore on the work appointed for them to accomplish, and very sanguine anticipations are being cherished that a large, varied, and interesting collection of exhibits may.be looked for from each. The Royal Commissioners have likewise published a report of the arrangements which are being made in Dunedin, and also of the contributions which are to sent from Great Britain, Victoria, and the other Australian Provinces. The committee, aided by the; exertions of an active secretary, are now fully bent on carrying out the task entrusted to them to a successful issue. , Prior to the exhibits being sent to Dunedin, it has been decided that a local exhibition of articles to be contributed by ■the province will be held, about; the middle of next month, in some building convenient for the purpose. This, 'of itself, will be interesting, although it mar not be very extensive. .:. :•
