Adelaide Sept. 28.: G-overnment state they will place on the estimates a, sum of money for commencing a telegraph line to the border of j New South "Wales. -■ - Tlie Attorney- G-eneral : has - announced his intention to bring, in an amended Convict Bill, in which he proposes to embody those clauses, iri the Victorian act for keeping out all convicts, expirees and ' others, arriving from Western Australia. Parliament has voted the sum of £300 to start the Acclimatisation Society ._ Henry Miller, charged with fraudulent insolvency in Melbourne, was arrested on board the Rangatira yesterday. He is a German. He was brought up; at the Police Court to-day, and remanded, to allow the warrant to be forwarded from Melbourne, on receipt of which he will be conveyed back to Melbourne. A detective has been sent to KingGeorge's Sound in the Eangatira, with instructions to arrest JFischel, the absconding manager of the Mont de Piete, Melbourne, who, it is believed, sailed from Melbourne in the R.M.S. Northam. Hart'B and Margarey's flour was sold to-day at £25, and Dunn's at £24 10s. per ton. Wheat sales were made at 10s. 4d. It is apprehended in the north that great difficulty will be experienced in bringing down wool, in consequence of the disease amongst the cattle. Many are dying daily.
