It will be unnecessary, at present, to enter into an explanation of my political views. Offices of the Local Committee, Province of Southland. • I) EGULATIONS of tbe Local Committee for \j the reception of goods intended to be exhibited :— 1. The Local Committee shall decide which articles, that may be forwarded by intending exhibitors, eh:ill be sent to the Exhibition. 2. With respect to those articles which the Committee decline to send, such articles may be sent under the auspices of the Committee, but at the risk and expense of tlie exhibitor. 3. Subject to tlie necessary limitation of space, all persons, whether designers, inventors, manufacturers, producers, or possessors of articles of New Zealand origin, or of such others, the produce of other countries, as may in the estimation of the committee bo eminently calculated to illustrate or aid in tho development of the resources of the Province, will be allowed to exhibit ; in each case they must state in what character they exhibit. 4. Exhibitors must be at the charge of insuring their own goods, should they require this security, as the committee will not be responsible for losses or damage of any kind ; but it will take every reasonable care "of the articles confided to its charge. 5. Every article sent separately, and every package must be legibly marked with the name of the country or colony of which it is the produce or manufacture, ancl, as far as practicable, with the name of the exhibitor or exhibitors. 6. The following is the form of address which should be adopted : To the Commissioners of New Zealand Exhibition, 1865. Building, Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. From [state country and exhibitor's name] 7. To prevent loss," miscarriage, or mislaying articles, or packing eases containing them, which occupy less bulk than two cubic feet, such article, &c, should not be sent separately, if it can bo avoided ; but packages under such size, containing as far as possible tbe same classes of articles, should be transmitted in combination. 8. Articles once deposited in the Exhibition Building, will not be permitted to be removed without written permission from the Commissioners. 9. Articles intended for sale must have prices, in plain figures, affixed thereto. 10. No Customs' duties are chargeable on articles sent to the Exhibition, or returned from thence under the care of the Committee ; but in case such duties shall become chargeable on account of tho sale of such articles, or otherwise, such charges must be paid by the exhibitor. 11. As it is proposed to hold a local exhibition of tho articles intended to be sent to the Exhibition, intending exhibitors are requested to send the articles they propose to exliibit, without delay, to the Secr'etay's office, Government Buildings.
