NEW WASTE LANDS ACT FOR SOUTHLAND.
"We have been requested by His Honor the Superintendent to publish the following communication addressed to him from the Colonial Secretary's office, Auckland : — " Colonial Secretary's Office, AncHand, j 26th August, 1864. " Sir, — I hare to inform your Honor that the Royal assent has been given to the Reserved Bill of the General Assembly, entitled the 'South- | land Waste Lands Act, 1863.' 1 " This Act will not come into force until His Excellency the Governor proclaims it as having received Her Majesty's assent, and in order to avoid the inconvenience of a change in the I Southland Land Regulations before the local authorities are aware of it, that proclamation ■will ! not be made until the 26th of September next, !on which day it will appear in the JS r eio Zealuiut j Gazette. i "I have to request your Honor to be good enough to give every publicity to this communi- ■ cation. .
