Stewart ; 1 keg, Duff; 1 case, Order. *r YsST-TBDAY urgent signals were hoisted, indicating that medical assistance was wanted at the Heads. The pilot boat, with the health officer, Dr- Niven and assistant, immediately went down, fevored with a fair wind, and upon arriving at the Pilot Station, discovered that an elderly man, named William Ramsay, ih capacity of cook tb the boats* crew, had. died, suddenly, generally supposed to be from inflammation of the lungs. The deceased, we understand, had seen better days, and had been both master and owner of more than one vessel ; and his sudden death had cast a gloom amongst the whole of his -associates, with whom he was a great favorite. .He was . seized with illness on Wednesday evening, but it was not thought he was dangerously iH, .but towards daylight a sudden and violent fit attacked him, and by the time the signals , were hoisted, he had breathed his last.— Otago Mail, 9fh inst.
