The names of the particular steamers abovementioned cannot always be relied upon, as the respective companies may substitute any of the authorised steamers. It will be observed that passengers from Napier by the steamer of the 6th, and from Manukau and oilier ports by steamer of the Bt3i, can proceed to Melbourne from Otago by the English mail steamer on the 18th. Passengers by steamer of 15th from Sydney to Auckland can proceed South, via East Coast, on the 23rd. Passengers by steamer of 25th from Sydney to .Nelson can proceed either North or South from Nelson on (he 2nd. Passengers by steamer of 2nd from Bluff and other ports to Nelson can proceed to Sydney from Nelson on the 2nd. Passengers by steamer of 10th from Melbourne to Otago can proceed North on 20th via East Const, "or on 25th via Nelson to Manukau. Passengers by steamer of 20th from Otago to Auckland via East Coast can proceed from Auckland to Sydney on the Ist. The steamers via East Coast, North and South, meet at Napier. Those leaving and arriving at Manukau meet at Nelson. The East Coast steamers coining North meet the West Coast steamers going South at Wellington, and vica versa.
