via Adelaide, August 17. The Edith Smith brings dates from Mauritius to July 7. The Jane Lakey, from Melbourne, arrived July 6. The barque Francis Banfield has -159,000 lbs. weight of sugars on board. Sho is bound for Melbourne. The next crop is expected to amount to 110.000 tons of sugar, wliich is expected to begin to arrive about the end of August. About S,OOO tons of sugars from lastseason's crop are now in store. Fine white crystals are quoted nominally at 38s. free on board. Of good counters and good rations, there, are noue in the market. Second counters are quoted at 31s. 4d.
