The same also appear in the water-mark of the Book of Direc tions. lam informed that some parties are vending medicines which they are importing from the United States at a low price, and palming them off as being of my genuine manufacture. Some of these spurious medicines have a label affixed to imitate the English Stamp ; so that much vigilance is required in order to detect the deception by examining very minutely the Stamp and Label affixed to the Pots and Boxes, as likewise the color and thickness of the paper, as also to the printing of the Books of Directions.. It is to be hoped that all who may read this CAUTION will make it known amongst their friends. Information of any nefarious practice of the kind should be sent to Messrs.
