THE GARRICK CLUB.
TO THE EDITOB. O~S THE SOUTHLAND TIMES. Sib, — As there are a number of unpleasant remarks being made in this town about the Invercargill Garriek Club, with regard to their performing for the benefits of professionals, I may inform you that the club has passed a resolution, that it will have nothing to do in future with any performances, except those for benevolent purposes. Any member appearing otherwise than for the above object, does so altogether apart from his connection with the club. Trusting jon, will be good enough to insert this. — I am. &c, A MEMBER. Invercargill, 18th August, 1864.
