»■ I I' - Southland Times Officb, Tuesday, 7.30 p.m. The Aldinga has just arrived with the June mails from Europe. The following is from the Argua of the Ilth inst. Adelaide, Wednesday Morning. The Balclutha arrived at Glenelg at two a.m., on the 10th inst., in ninetyfour hours from the Sound. The passage downwards occupied 140 hours, with furious westerly gales throughout. The Bombay's passage had occupied 176 hours. The P. &O. steamer Northam, Captain Skottowe, arrived at King George's Sound at 6 p.m on the sth August. She left G-alle at half-past six p.m. on the 21st of July ; Captain Ellis, R.N., late Naval agent died on board on the 6th of July. Captain- Skottowe is in charge of the mails ; A. Baylis, purser. Passengers for Adelaide — Messrs Phillips and Martin. Eor Melbourne — Mr. and Mrs. Sichell ; Mrs. Pearson ; Deputy Commissary - G-eneral Home, Mrs. Home, and 2 Misses Home, ; Messrs. J. W. and G-. Home, Messrs. Cullimore, Mackenzie, Elint, Jacobs, Myers, and Captain Evans. . Eor Sydney — Messrs. Robin, Huddlestone, Nyan, Williams, Boyle, G-eard, Berton, Elliot, Towell, Smith, Assistant Commissary Bartlett, Staff-Surgeons Lewin and MDermot ; Assistants Carson, Popplewell, and Surgeon Wadsworth., 70th Regiment. The Northam is expected to leave the Sound at 5 a.m., on 7th August. -■ ■ »•
