I BEG most respectfully to caution the Australasian Public against purchasing Ointment and Pills sold in my name unless they have the English Government Stamp affixed to the same, on which is engraved, in white letters, on a red and dark ground the words—" HOLLOWAY'S PILLS AND OINTMENT, LONDON." The same also appear in the water-mark of the Book of Direc tions. lam informed that somo parties are vending medicines which they are importing ftom the United States at a low price, and palming them off as being of my genuine manufacture. Some of these spurious medicines have a label affixed to imitate the English Stamp; so that much vigi* lance is required in order to detect the deception by examining very minutely the Stamp and Label affixed to the Pots and Boxes, as likewise the color and thickness of the paper, as also to the printing of the Books of Directions. It is to be hoped that all who may read tliis CAUTION will make it known amongst their friends. Information of any nefarious practice of the kind should be sent to Messrs. Gobdon and Gotch, News Agents, Collins-street West, Melbom-ne ; or to me, direct, in London, when the necessary steps will be taken in the matter. (Signed) THOMAS HOLLOWAY* February 24th, 1864. THE CHEAPEST AND SAEEST DOCTOE. HOLLOWAY'S PILLS. THIS great Household Medicine ranks among all leading necessaries of life. It is weU "known to the world that it cures many coinplainta other remedies cannot reach : this fact is as well' established as that the sun lights the world. DISOBDEES OF THE LIVEB AND STOMACH. Most persons will, at some period of their lives suffer from indigestion, derangement of their liver, stomach, or bowels, which, if not quickly removed, frequently settles hito a dangerous illness. It is well known in India and other tropical climates that Holloway's Pills are the only remedy that can be relied upon in such eases. Almost every soldier abroad carries a box of them in his knapsack. In England most persons know that these Pills will cure them whenever the liver, stomach, or bowels are out of order, and that they need no physician. WEAKNESS AND DEBILITY. Such as suffer from weakness or debiliiy, and those who feel want of energy, should at once have recourse to these Pills, as they immediately purify the blood, and acting upon the main-spring of life, give strength and vigor to the system. To young persons entering into womanhood, with a derangement of the functions, and to mothers at the turn of life, these Pills will be most efficacious in correcting the tide of life that maybe on the turn. Young and elderly men suffer in a similar manner at the same periods, when there is always danger; they should therefore undergo a course of this purifying medicine, wliich ensures lasting health. DISOBDEES OF CHILDEEN. All young children should have administered to them, from time to tune, a few doses of these Pills, which will purify then- blood, and enable them to pass safely through the different disorders incidental to .children, such as measles, whooping-cough, cowpock, and other infantile disease. These Pills are so harmless in their nature as not to injure the most delicate constitution, and are therefore more peculiarly adapted as a corrective of the humors affecting them. DEOPSY. Hundreds are cured yearly by the use of these Pills, conjointly with the Ointment, which should be rubbed very bouutifully into the parts affected. DEEANG-EMENT OF THE KIDNEYS. If these Pills be used according to the printed di rections, and the Ointment rubbed over the region of the kidneys at least once a day, as salt is forced into meat, it will penetrate the kidneys and correct any derangement of their organs. Should the affliction be stone or gravel, then the Ointment should be rubbed into the neck of tbe bladder, and a few days wiil convince the sufferer that the effect of these two remedies is astonishing. DISOBDEES OF THE STOMACH Are the sources of the deadliest maladies. There effect is to vitiate all the fluids ofthe body, afld. to send a poisoned stream through all the channels of circulation. Now, what is the operation of the Pills? Thoy cleanse the bowels, regulate the liver, bring the relaxed or irritated stomach into a natural condition, and acting through the secretive organs upon the blood itself, change the state of system from sickness to health, by exercising a simultaneous and wholesome effect upon all ita parts and functions. COMPLAINTS OS FEMALES. The functional irregularities peculiar to the weaker sex, are invariably corrected without pain or inconvenience by the use of Holloway's Pills. They ai-e. the safest aud surest medicine for all diseases incidental to females of all ages. BILIOUS AFFECTIONS. The quantity and quality of the bile are of vital importance to health. Upon the liver, the gland which secretes this fluid so necessary for digestion, the Pills operate specifically, infallibly rectifying its irregularities, and effectually curing jaundice, bilious remittants, and all the varieties of disease generated by an unnatural condition of that organ.
